Henna night invitations, for the bride's own evening
The henna night belongs to the bride and the women around her: mothers, sisters, aunts and friends, with music, food and the henna itself. Its invitation can be looser and warmer than the wedding card, and it is usually shared in smaller circles.
Henna in the Gulf and in the Levant
Across the Arab world the evening goes by different names, such as laylat al-henna, al-henna or al-hinna, and it is held in different ways. Many families in the Gulf make it a large gathering with traditional dress and a hired space, while in Jordan and Palestine it is often closer to a family evening at home, though every family decides for itself.
Because of this, avoid copying another family's card. Describe your own night, even if it is only a line telling guests whether to expect dinner.
Who it is for, and keeping it private
In most families the henna night is for women. Say so plainly, with a line such as ladies only, and consider whether the exact address belongs on a link at all. A link can be forwarded by anyone who has it, so send it in a private chat or a family group of women, not in an open group.
If some relatives are staying home, you can make a separate small invitation without the address and give them the details in person.
Wording with some play in it
The henna night is where wording can be light. A verse or a line about joy, a time that begins with coffee, a note that guests may wear green or traditional dress. Many brides like their name in large script and a short sentence beneath it.
The editor shows the card as you type, so you can try three versions of the sentence before you decide.
Designs for the evening
Four designs carry the henna tag. Royal Majlis is dark and formal. Arabian Nights is theatrical, with a warm night mood. Modern Khaleeji is clean and current. Arabian Heritage is warm and traditional. All four open full screen before you pay.
The music and the opening animation can match the mood of the evening, and the reduced-motion version stays calm for guests who prefer it.
Replies and a clean count
If you need a count for the food and the henna artist, add RSVP and each household answers with the number of women coming. It is set up with an access code from the studio, so message us on WhatsApp.
One invitation costs 20 JOD, paid by CliQ in Jordanian dinars once you are happy with the preview.
Small details that make the evening smoother
The henna night is more relaxed than the wedding, which is exactly why small details matter. Guests who do not know whether dinner is served, or how long the henna artist will stay, tend to ask the bride, who has enough to think about.
Put the answers on the card and let the bride enjoy her own night. A few sentences replace a day of messages.
- Whether dinner or only refreshments are served
- A start time and a rough end time
- What to wear: traditional dress, green, or anything
- Whether guests may have henna drawn on their own hands
- Where to park and which door to use, if the venue is not a home
Questions and answers
Is the henna night invitation different from the wedding invitation?
It is its own invitation with its own date, time and map pin, usually shared with a smaller circle.
Can I say ladies only?
Yes, in your wording. With RSVP you can also mark guests as women, so each sees the evening meant for them.
Is it safe to put an address on a link?
Anyone with the link can open it, so send it only in private chats. If that worries you, give the address in person or in a separate message.
Can I write it in Arabic and English?
Each invitation is in one language. For mixed guests, order two links and send each guest the one they read.
Which designs are made for henna?
Several designs carry the henna tag, including Royal Majlis, Arabian Nights, Modern Khaleeji and Arabian Heritage. The gallery filter lists them all.
