Digital wedding invitations for weddings in Oman

Omani families are spread across a large country, from Muscat and Sohar to Nizwa and Salalah, and a wedding often asks guests to travel. A Dawati invitation carries the details that make a long journey easy: the place, the time, a map and an answer to whether you are coming.

Guests who travel

Distances in Oman are long, and many guests drive for hours or fly in from another governorate. Write the town beside the hall name, give the arrival time in the wording, and drop the map pin so a guest unfamiliar with the area is led to the door.

If you expect guests to stay overnight, say so in a line of the wording and tell them whom to ask. The invitation is a page, not a leaflet, so there is room for a few practical lines.

Omani hospitality is generous, and the invitation can say so simply. A line that the family will receive guests with coffee, dates and a meal is enough. Avoid long lists of rules; a calm and welcoming tone fits the occasion better than a page of instructions.

The contract and the celebration

In many Omani families the signing of the marriage contract and the wedding celebration are separate occasions, sometimes weeks apart. Make a short invitation for the signing, with the immediate family in mind, and a fuller one for the celebration.

Choose the Arabic that your family uses. A formal card with Bismillah and the family name, in a calm Gulf register, suits most weddings, and you can change every word of the suggested text.

Where a family wishes the signing to be small, write 'by invitation' in the wording and send the link only to those invited. The celebration can then have a wider list. Because each invitation is its own link, the guests of one never learn the details of the other.

Men's and women's gatherings

Where the men and the women celebrate in separate places, make one invitation for each and send each link only to its own group. The women's evening can carry a line for women only, and the address of one hall never appears on the other's card.

RSVP lets you mark each household as men, women or family, so each guest sees the invitation that is meant for them.

Many halls in Oman have separate entrances for men and women. Put the right entrance in each card, with a short description a driver can follow, such as the side of the building or a nearby landmark. This helps older relatives who do not use the map app.

Calm designs, clear dates

The Gulf collection is built on deep colour and quiet gold with clear Arabic lettering, and the whole gallery has 10 designs to choose from. Open any design full screen on your own phone and show it to your family before you decide.

Oman uses UTC+4 all year, with no daylight saving, the same clock as the UAE. Write Hijri and Gregorian dates together if your families do; the Hijri date is text you type and check against the official calendar.

Pick designs for how they look at arm's length on a phone, not on a large screen. Clear contrast and a legible Arabic title matter more than ornament, and the preview shows both. If your family prefers English on some cards, order a second link and send it.

Price and payment from Oman

A digital invitation costs 20 JOD, which is about OMR 10.800 at today's indicative rate. The rial figure is a guide only; payment is by CliQ in Jordanian dinars today. If that is not possible from Oman, message us first and we will tell you honestly what we can arrange.

The studio is in Amman, Jordan. We do not have an office in Oman.

You pay once per invitation and there are no per-guest fees. Omani rials are shown for comparison only. The rial is tied to the US dollar, so the guide figure is steady, but the real charge is the Jordanian dinar amount shown on the pricing page.

Questions and answers

Can I invite only close family to the contract signing?

Yes. Make a separate invitation for the signing and send its link only to those invited.

Do you accept Omani rials?

Payment today is by CliQ in Jordanian dinars. The rial price on this site is indicative only.

Do +968 numbers work for RSVP?

Yes. Numbers are saved in international format, so any country code works.

What time zone is shown?

Times appear exactly as you write them. Oman is on UTC+4 all year, so add the city if guests come from elsewhere.

Can guests open it with a weak signal?

The invitation is a light web page, but a very weak signal can still slow it. Share a link a few days before so guests can open it at home.
